Job summary

Sobella Beauty in Malaysia is seeking a Chef or Cook for our cafe team. The role requires a minimum SPM or related certificate and at least 1 year of cooking experience; fresh candidates with culinary skills are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards while delivering dishes in a timely manner. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Chef or Cook (fresh candidates with culinary skills are welcome to apply).
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

• Prepare and cook food according to the café's recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Monitor food inventory and report stock shortages when necessary.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed.
• Work closely with the café team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist in developing new menu items when required.
