Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled procurement specialist to search, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for active medical components, ensuring ISO 13485 and regulatory compliance. You will lead negotiation, contract­ing, and P2P execution, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and Logistics to approve new components and suppliers.

Bachelor's degree required; at least 3 years in medical device procurement; Mandarin preferred; strong BOM

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering (Biomedical/Electrical), or related fields.
• Experience: At least 3 years in sourcing/purchasing in manufacturing/medical device environments.
• Technical: Strong understanding of technical drawings, BOM, and contract negotiation.
• Regulatory: Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and Malaysia MDA regulations.
• Soft: Mandarin preferred; high-level negotiation; stakeholder management; problem-solving.
• MRP software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Search, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for active medical components meeting ISO 13485, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Negotiate commercial agreements (price, lead time, terms) to optimize cost and minimize risk.
• Manage sourcing for high-precision components, electronics, and sub-assemblies for active devices.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to prevent production stoppages.
• Drive supplier performance in quality, cost, and delivery.
• Partner with Quality, Regulatory Affairs (MDA), Engineering, and Logistics to approve new components and suppliers.
• Handle purchasing activities within MRP systems (e.g., Kingdee).

Active Device Expertise:Manage sourcing for high-precision components, electronics, and sub-assemblies related to active medical devices.

Supply Continuity Management:Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to prevent production stoppages.

Supplier Performance Management:Drive supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with Quality, Regulatory Affairs (MDA), Engineering, and Logistics teams to approve new components and suppliers.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Execution:Handle purchasing activities within MRP systems (e.g., Kingdee).

Job Requirements

Education:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering (Biomedical/Electrical), or related fields.

Experience:At least 3 years of relevant sourcing/purchasing experience in a manufacturing or medical device environment.

Technical Skills:Strong understanding of technical drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and contract negotiation.

Regulatory Knowledge:Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and Malaysia Medical Device Authority (MDA) regulations is highly desirable.

Soft Skills:Prefer to understand Mandarin, high-level negotiation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and proficiency in MRP software.
