NEXGEN AI CAPITALS in Malaysia is seeking a Solar PV Project Engineer to drive rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems from design through commissioning. You will prepare designs, drawings and technical docs while coordinating with TNB and authorities to secure grid connections.
The role requires 1 year of related experience, knowledge of Malaysian PV regulations, and familiarity with PV design tools. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with willingness to travel
We are a growing solar energy company in Malaysia, focused on commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV projects under LSS / SELCO schemes. The successful candidate will be responsible for solar PV system design, site assessment, installation supervision, testing and commissioning, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
Key responsibilities
Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
Prepare solar PV system designs, SLD (Single Line Diagrams), layouts and technical drawings.
Coordinate grid connection applications, submissions and approvals with TNB and relevant authorities.
Supervise installation works and ensure compliance with SEDA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), applicable MS standards and approved drawings.
Perform testing and commissioning (T&C), including inverter configuration and system performance verification.
Prepare technical reports, as-built drawings, testing records and compliance documentation.
Support project management in BOQ preparation, scheduling, procurement and vendor/contractor coordination.
Monitor site quality, workmanship and safety throughout project execution.
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during installation, commissioning and operation.
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Solar PV project execution.
Good knowledge of TNB connection procedures, ST requirements and Malaysian Solar PV regulations.
Familiar with PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope or similar Solar PV design tools.
Chargeman / Wireman / Competent Engineer certification will be an added advantage.
Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Willing to travel to project sites when required.
