Job summary

Quest Energy SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer to develop and optimize solar PV system designs based on project requirements and site conditions.

You will conduct site assessments, prepare layouts, SLDs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation, perform yield calculations and sizing, and provide support during installation and commissioning.

Job description

Develop and optimize solar PV system designs based on project requirements and site conditions.

Conduct site assessments and evaluate the technical feasibility of solar PV installations.

Prepare solar PV layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and technical documentation.

Perform solar energy yield calculations, system sizing, and performance analysis.

Select appropriate solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and other system components.

Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and design reports.

Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Coordinate with project managers, installation teams, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Provide technical support during project installation, testing, and commissioning.

Conduct site visits when required for surveys, inspections, and technical troubleshooting.
