Job summary

Equalenergie Sdn Bhd is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to oversee the end-to-end execution of solar PV projects, rooftop and ground-mounted across Johor. You will bridge engineering design, site execution, and regulatory compliance to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high safety standards.

The role requires leading project planning, site supervision, and coordination with sub-contractors, clients, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Renewable Energy Engineering (recognized university).
• Registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• 2–3 years of proven project management experience within the Malaysian Solar EPC sector.
• CIDB Green Card (Kad Hijau) – mandatory for construction site access in Malaysia.
• SEDA Grid-Connected PV (GCPV) design or installation competency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of solar PV installations across Johor.
• Oversee daily site operations and enforce HSE protocols.
• Directly supervise high-risk activities and ensure fall arrest and rescue readiness.
• Liaise with contractors, clients, and authorities including TNB, SEDA, and Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and risk assessments.
• Ensure OSHA 1994 and local regulations compliance.
