Job summary

MILIEU SOLAR SDN. BHD. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead our Johor Branch.

You will oversee solar PV projects and mentor junior engineers to develop leadership skills and drive project success. Your responsibilities include managing project execution, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years in project engineering are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in project engineering experience within the solar industry.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of relevant electrical standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical execution of solar PV projects.

Job description

We’re looking for someone who is ready to grow with us and eventually take the lead of our Project Engineering team in our Johor Branch. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from residential, C&I and LSS, mentor junior engineers, develop your leadership capabilities and gradually take on greater responsibility in managing the team and driving project success.

Lead and Provide technical guidance and support to Junior Project Engineers and site teams.

Lead and manage the technical execution of solar PV projects from project kick-off through commissioning and handover.

Review project requirements, drawings, specifications and technical documents to ensure compliance with project, client and authority requirements.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Plan and monitor project schedules, resources, manpower, materials and site activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Oversee site installation, testing, commissioning and rectification works while ensuring compliance with approved designs and technical specifications.

Ensure proper project documentation, as-built drawings, testing records and handover documents are completed.

Participate in client meetings, progress meetings and technical discussions to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and delivered.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related field.

At least 2 years in project engineering experience within the solar industry, electrical, construction or renewable energy projects.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers and site teams.

Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical systems, construction practices and project execution.

Experience managing project timelines, contractors, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.

Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications and project documents.

Good understanding of relevant electrical standards, authority requirements and safety practices.

Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently, take ownership and make decisions in a fast-paced project environment.
