Job summary

Solarvest Holdings Bhd. is seeking a Project Engineer to drive end-to-end delivery of solar PV projects, from confirmation through commissioning, ensuring safety, on-time completion, and quality.

You will lead the full EPCC lifecycle, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and oversee QA/QC and commissioning activities across multiple sites. A background in electrical engineering and solar is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in construction field, TNB or Project management.
• Experience handling the multi‑disciplinary scopes — Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project engineering or related field, solar energy focus; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and related engineering standards.
• Proficient in project management tools and software, such as MS Project and AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead full EPCC project lifecycle from project award to handover (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning).
• Prepare and manage project estimates, budgets, schedules and execution plans; monitor progress to targets.
• Coordinate with project supervisors, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and inter‑departmental teams.
• Manage material procurement and subcontracting activities through ERP.
• Liaise with authorities on grid interconnection, licensing and documentation.
• Coordinate with upper management on project status and changes to scope.
• Establish relationships with O&M team to minimise disruption; conduct site surveys.
• Review detailed design drawings and coordinate with electrical, structural and mechanical teams.
• Monitor progress against budgets and schedules; lead QA/QC and commissioning systems.
