Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Executive to support the commercial and contractual management of renewable energy projects. The role covers cost estimation, budgeting, procurement support, contract administration, and project cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years' experience in QS/Commercial roles, with knowledge of EPC, Solar PV, and cost-management tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in QS, Contract Administration, or Commercial roles.
• Experience in EPC, Solar PV, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, or Construction projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, procurement, and contract management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools.
• Experience with Solar PV, BESS, EV charging, or utility-scale projects.
• Knowledge of FIDIC/NEC contracts.
• Experience with CostX, Candy CCS, Primavera P6, or Power BI.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and BOQ.
• Support tendering, procurement, and vendor/contractor evaluation.
• Administer EPC, subcontractor, and supplier contracts.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and progress payments.
• Support contract negotiations, pricing, and commercial terms.
• Identify cost risks and support mitigation actions.
• Assist in final account and project close-out activities.
• Maintain proper commercial records and documentation.
