Easy Solar Sdn Bhd,-based in Sabah, is seeking a Solar Engineer/Technician (Junior and Senior) to design residential, C&I and hybrid PV systems. You will perform site surveys, develop safe and compliant designs, and provide drawings, BOQs and technical support to sales and project delivery teams.
You will engage in design-to-site handover, keep up with evolving standards, and may lead discussions with clients, consultants and authorities.
Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and Labuan
At Easy Solar Sdn Bhd, every good solar project starts at the drawing board. We're looking for a Design Engineer who can turn a rooftop, a load profile and a client's budget into a system that is safe, compliant, buildable and performs as promised.
You'll be the technical backbone behind our proposals and projects. You'll work closely with Sales to win the job and with Project Delivery to make sure what gets built matches what was designed.
Site Assessment: Conduct site surveys covering roof condition, orientation, shading, structure, and existing electrical infrastructure. Gather the data that makes a design accurate.
System Design: Design residential, C&I and hybrid PV systems, including module layout, string sizing, inverter selection, and cable and protection sizing.
Energy Yield & Sizing: Run yield simulations and shading analysis with PVsyst, Helioscope or similar tools. Size hybrid and BESS systems against the client's actual load profile.
Drawings & Documentation: Prepare SLDs, PV layouts, cable routing and earthing drawings in AutoCAD. Produce accurate BOQs that Procurement and Project teams can build from.
Sales & Proposal Support: Support the sales team with technical proposals, system options, savings estimates and ROI calculations. Join client meetings to explain the design clearly and confidently.
Authority Submissions: Prepare design documents and drawings for Energy Commission of Sabah (ECOS) and utility applications, and respond to authority comments.
Design-to-Site Handover: Brief the project team and subcontractors on the design. Support technical queries during installation, and update as-built drawings after completion.
Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with new products, standards and best practices. Help build our design templates and standards.
