Job summary

Pekat is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer in Malaysia to design, troubleshoot, and implement PV systems. You’ll prepare diagrams, BOMs, and cost estimates, conduct site surveys, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

You will monitor performance, analyze data, and lead maintenance activities while supporting technicians and clients with technical guidance. 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Knowledge of solar PV system design, operation, and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience in Solar PV or electrical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, troubleshoot, and provide technical solutions for solar PV systems and equipment.
• Prepare PV system designs, single-line diagrams, string configurations, site layouts, BOMs, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site surveys, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
• Monitor system performance, analyze data, and recommend preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, HSE, statutory requirements, standards, and company procedures.
• Provide technical support, training, and guidance to technicians, engineers, vendors, and clients.
• Coordinate with internal departments and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement, emergency response, and adoption of new solar PV technologies and industry practices.
