Next Energy Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is hiring a Solar Project Engineer to support the design, planning, and implementation of solar PV projects across Selangor, Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, and Melaka.

The role focuses on delivering compliant technical designs, preparing BOMs, conducting site assessments, and coordinating with authorities and clients. Diploma holders with 1–3 years in solar PV are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Professional Certificate or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in solar PV design, engineering, or related roles.
• Willingness to travel and possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and optimise solar PV systems in compliance with client requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Work closely with the Sales team to develop accurate technical designs and solutions.
• Prepare system layouts, calculations, simulations, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and solar resource evaluations.
• Use modelling software to estimate energy output, ROI, and payback periods.
• Prepare and submit permit and approval documents to relevant authorities.
• Liaise with SEDA, ST, TNB, consultants, and local authorities for licensing and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and on-site support during installation works.
• Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure system performance meets specifications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, and reports.
• Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly status reports.
• Support technical discussions during proposals and client meetings.
• Ensure system testing, commissioning, and readiness prior to handover.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
