Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd in Petaling Jaya is seeking an experienced QA engineer to own the testing lifecycle for portal-based applications in a fast-paced delivery environment. You will validate requirements, design robust test plans, and ensure quality across releases.

You will design and execute manual and automated tests, build UI and API automation with Python, Selenium or Playwright, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects while ensuring performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Software Testing or QA.
• Experience in manual and automated testing for complex web applications.
• Proficient in UI and API automation using Python and frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Strong ability to perform backend data validation via SQL and navigate Linux/RHEL environments for log analysis and basic shell commands.
• Skilled in planning and executing load, stress, and scalability tests while interpreting metrics such as response times and throughput.
• Expert in test design techniques to ensure comprehensive coverage and risk identification.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

Role Overview:

This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of portal-based applications within a fast-paced delivery environment. It requires a proactive professional capable of taking full ownership of the testing lifecycle, from navigating ambiguous requirements to final release validation.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate user stories and design specifications to pinpoint critical test scenarios, coverage gaps, and potential technical risks.

Architect, review, and perform manual test cases tailored specifically for high-traffic web applications.

Build and sustain robust automated test scripts for both UI and API layers to accelerate the delivery pipeline.

Strategically determine and justify the balance between manual exploration and automated regression suites.

Conduct end-to-end testing cycles, including functional, integration, regression, smoke, and sanity checks.

Design and run load, stress, and scalability tests to measure system stability and behavior under peak traffic.

Document and track software bugs with precise reproduction steps, ensuring clear communication for rapid resolution.

Collaborate directly with developers to investigate test failures and implement long-term fixes.

Key Requirements:

Have 3 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance, with a deep understanding of testing fundamentals and the defect lifecycle.

Experienced in manual and automated testing for complex web-based applications.

Hands-on experience developing UI and API automation scripts using Python (or similar languages) and frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
