Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Malaysia is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our Digital – Web Applications and API Services team. You will design and execute automated and manual tests, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.

You will work with project managers, developers and stakeholders to define testing strategies, perform API, functional, performance and security tests, and contribute to test framework development using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information technology/Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of software and/or web application testing experience.
• 3+ years developing automated tests in web applications using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience in API testing and REST services validation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (preferably with Azure DevOps) and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of test automation design and best practices.
• Experience in functional, performance, load and security testing.
• Experience in SQL for querying and validating application data.
• Experience working in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) team.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining test plans and test cases covering automated and manual testing.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and fast feedback.
• Analyzing automation test results to improve effectiveness.
• Performing manual testing: functional, smoke, regression, and integration tests.
• Designing and executing performance, load and security tests.
• Documenting and tracking bugs in a defect system.
• Collaborating with PMs, product owners, developers and stakeholders on test strategies.
• Supporting production issues and assisting with bug fixes.
• Defining testing standards and procedures, selecting testing tools.
• Supporting UAT and production release validation.
