Job summary

TechTiera SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Software Tester to ensure quality across our software applications in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, develop, and execute test plans, perform functional and system testing, and work closely with developers to ensure requirements are met.

You will help create automated tests with Playwright and scripting languages like Typescript, maintain test data, report defects, and contribute to release planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Ability to analyse requirements, identify issues, and solve problems.
• Experience with automated testing tools - Playwright and scripting languages (e.g. Typescript).
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and strategies for software applications.
• Perform functional and system testing of software applications to identify issues or defects.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure requirements are met and communicated properly.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify bugs and provide detailed information to assist in resolving them.
• Participate in the design and development of automated testing scripts.
• Create, maintain, and update test cases and test data.
• Report defects and issues through a bug tracking system and prioritize resolutions.
• Actively participate in product release planning and ensure the product meets all requirements.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and identify risks or issues that may impact timelines.
