Job summary

Appnovation Technologies in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a QA Engineer to test web platforms and APIs across client projects. You’ll work with React, GraphQL, and CMS platforms, executing test cases, reporting bugs, and starting test automation under senior engineers.

You will collaborate with developers, designers, and other QA engineers to ensure quality and learn modern testing tools while building robust testing practices for diverse digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Understanding of software testing fundamentals including test case design, bug reporting, and test execution.
• Experience with automation testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or similar REST clients.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to identify edge cases and potential issues.
• Good communication skills for reporting bugs, asking questions, and collaborating with developers.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web applications and APIs based on requirements and user stories.
• Test REST and GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman, validating responses and data accuracy.
• Report bugs clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and relevant details to help developers fix issues quickly.
• Start building test automation scripts using Playwright or Cypress under guidance from senior engineers.
• Validate user interfaces for responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.
• Participate in daily standups and provide testing status updates to the team.
• Review and provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective.
• Maintain test documentation including test cases and test results.
