Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group seeks a QA Automation Engineer to advance our software testing capabilities across products and internal systems in a global setting. You will design, implement and maintain automated tests, contribute to CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with developers, product managers and stakeholders to ensure quality from concept to production.

You’ll work with Playwright/TypeScript, API testing, and performance/security testing while supporting UAT and production release validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology/Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of software or web application testing experience.
• Minimum 3 years developing automated tests in web applications using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience in API testing and REST services validation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) and Git.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test plans and test cases covering both automated and manual testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops.
• Analyze automation test results to uncover trends and continuously improve test effectiveness.
• Perform manual testing activities, including functional, smoke, regression, integration, etc.
• Design and execute performance, load and security tests.
• Document and track bugs in a defect management system.
• Learn system end to end, risk assessment of proposed software changes.
• Collaborate with project/product managers, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define testing strategies.
• Support production issues, assist development team in bug fixing.
• Define testing standards and procedures, select testing tools.
• Support UAT and production release validation activities.

Key Responsibilities and Job Content

Professional Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology/Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software and/or web application testing.
• Minimum 3 years developing automated tests in web application using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience in API testing and REST services validation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (preferably with Azure DevOps) and version control (GIT).
• Good understanding of test automation design and best practices.
• Experience of functional, performance, load and security testing.
• Experience in SQL for querying and validating application data.
• Understanding in working in an Agile (i.e. Scrum, Kanban) team.
• Good communication skills, fluency in English (verbally and in writing).
• Ability to easily change direction based on lessons learnt or changed circumstances (adaptability).
• Open mind and positive can-do attitude.
• Initiative and ability to work without a close supervision.
• Internal drive for technical excellence.

Additional competencies (as a plus)

• Knowledge: testing methodologies, network protocols, web security, Jira, Testmo, k6, OWASP, Bruno, C# .Net, Docker, Selenium, Python, Cloud (Azure, Google Cloud).
• ISTQB certification.
