You will design, execute and maintain automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD, and work closely with product and development teams to deliver reliable software with strong data validation and API testing practices.

Software QA Engineer (Automation & AI-Powered Testing)

We are seeking a Software QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in software test automation and practical experience using AI-powered tools to conduct and improve quality assurance. You will own testing strategies, develop and maintain robust automation frameworks, and use AI to accelerate test design, execution, defect discovery, debugging and regression coverage. This is a hands-on engineering role: the successful candidate must be able to build, run, troubleshoot and maintain automated tests independently, rather than only coordinate manual testing.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with product owners, developers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, define acceptance criteria and plan test coverage.

Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts and reusable testing frameworks for web applications, mobile applications and APIs.

Apply suitable automation tools across different products and testing needs, rather than relying on a single tool or manual testing alone.

Use AI-powered or AI-assisted QA tools to generate and refine test scenarios, develop or repair test scripts, identify potential defects, analyse test failures and improve test coverage and efficiency.

Perform functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, smoke and exploratory testing; conduct manual testing where automation is not appropriate.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows; monitor test results, investigate flaky tests and maintain reliable test suites.

Validate data integrity and backend behaviour using SQL, API testing and relevant diagnostic tools.

Document testing results and defects clearly, including reproduction steps, supporting evidence, severity and business impact; collaborate with developers on resolution and retesting.

Help improve QA standards, reusable testing assets, release readiness and continuous quality improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Mandatory Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

At least 4 years of hands-on software QA experience, including substantial, recent experience designing and implementing test automation.

Proven ability to independently write, execute, debug and maintain automated tests using multiple testing tools or frameworks. Relevant examples include Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Robot Framework and Appium; equivalent tools are acceptable.

Practical experience with AI-powered software testing or AI-assisted QA workflows. Candidates must be able to explain and demonstrate how they have used AI to conduct QA activities, such as generating test cases, developing or maintaining automation scripts, detecting defects, analysing failures or expanding regression coverage.

Experience in API testing and automation, with tools such as Postman/Newman, REST Assured or equivalent.

Working knowledge of SQL, defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, and software development practices including Git and CI/CD.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills; ability to work proactively and take ownership of quality outcomes.

Additional Advantages

Experience with visual regression, self-healing test automation, intelligent test selection or other AI-enabled testing capabilities.

Experience with performance or load testing tools such as k6, JMeter or Gatling.

Experience testing LMS, EdTech, assessment, mobile or other multi-user SaaS platforms.
