Job summary

LS Smart Machinery, based near Seri Kembangan, Malaysia, is offering an internship in software and system development for students pursuing a Diploma or Degree in IT fields. You will assist in building and maintaining web-based internal modules, dashboards, and reports while learning data management and access control disciplines.

The role provides mentorship, hands-on experience with real enterprise systems, and potential for full-time employment upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Basic understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining web-based internal system modules.
• Implement basic features such as data entry forms, dashboards, and reports.
• Support role-based access control and approval workflows under guidance.
• Support the design and management of structured databases under supervision.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across departments.
• Assist in migrating data from Excel files and manual records.
• Work with supervisors to understand departmental processes and translate requirements into system features.

Job Responsibilities

1. Software & System Development

• Assist in developing and maintaining web-based internal system modules.
• Implement basic features such as data entry forms, dashboards, and reports.
• Support role-based access control and approval workflows under guidance.
• Support the design and management of structured databases under supervision.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across departments.
• Assist in migrating data from Excel files and manual records.

3. Business Workflow Support

• Work with supervisors to understand departmental processes.
• Help translate operational requirements into system features with guidance.
• Support automation of repetitive administrative tasks.

4. Testing, Documentation & Support

• Test system functionality with internal users.

Requirements:
