Job summary

ACT Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd – Klang, Selangor is offering an internship focusing on databases. You will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining schemas across SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, and Oracle RDMS, while supporting architecture design and routine maintenance.

The role emphasizes problem solving, learning new technologies, and documentation. You will gain exposure to IT project planning under supervision, with a monthly internship allowance and leave entitlements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills with an interest in troubleshooting technical issues.
• Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining database schemas on platforms like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, and Oracle RDMS.
• Support the design and implementation of database architecture.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including updates and backups.
• Monitor and help optimize database performance.
• Aid in troubleshooting database-related issues.
• Research new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Document processes, user manuals, and technical reports.
• Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Assist in IT project planning and execution under supervision.
• Other Ad hoc Task given by your supervisor.
