Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a fresh Graduate Software Engineer to join the Energy SW team in Bayan Lepas, Penang, focusing on embedded software development and feature enhancements for critical public safety products.

You will collaborate across frontend and testing teams, participate in full development life cycle from requirements to testing, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, or related fields.
• Fresh graduates welcome.
• CGPA 3.00 or 2nd class upper.
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as an individual engineer to implement new features or enhance existing ones.
• Participate in requirements, design, implementation, and testing.
• Analyze requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Coordinate and participate in software design and code reviews.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Collaborate with front-end and test teams to deliver features.
• Support in a multi-site, global development environment.
• Meet project deliverables and timelines in a dynamic environment.
• Adhere to team performance and quality metrics.
• Collect and analyze data impacting KPIs.
• Contribute to IP development.
• Improve existing software development processes.

Energy SW team is responsible and participate in various in software development (embedded ) life cycle as early as the front end design and architecture development, costing , agile development and test creation(automation).

Job Description

• Responsible in contributing as an individual engineer on implementing new feature or enhancing existing feature for the product.
• Responsible in participating in all aspects of product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation and testing.
• Responsible in Analyzing software requirements to determine feasibility of design within quality assurance, time and cost constraints.
• Responsible in coordinating and participating in software design and code review.
• Responsible in creating and executing unit, integration and system tests.
• Collaborate with front end team and test team to ensure best solution is always in place to promote successful feature deployment.
• Inter-group and intra-group teamwork in a multi-site world-wide development environment.
• To meet project's deliverable and timeline requirement in a highly dynamic environment.
• Adhere to the team's performance and quality metrics.
• To collect and analyze data affecting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Develop intellectual property for the company.
• Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes.

Basic Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications or related fields.
• Open for fresh graduates with no previous permanent employment upon graduation.
• Graduate with minimum CGPA of 3.00 or 2nd class upper.
• Must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
