Techstreet Malaysia is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain the digital banking core system. The candidate will work with Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, and MySQL to build scalable, secure APIs for our banking platform.

Responsibilities include designing microservices, integrating with core banking systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features while ensuring reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Experience as a software engineer with Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, microservices, and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• RESTful API development & integration.
• Git and agile development experience.
• Knowledge of security principles for banking systems; AWS exposure is a plus; Mambu familiarity is a plus.

Software Engineer - Account & Deposit/Core Banking

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team responsible for developing and maintaining the digital banking core system. The idea candidate will have extensive experience in Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, Kafka and microservices architecture.

This role requires a strong understanding of banking and financial systems and a passion for delivering high quality, reliable software.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable APIs powering our digital banking platform.
• Integrate with core banking systems and event-driven services.
• Design reliable microservices using Kafka and modern architecture.
• Architect, and implement scalable microservices solutions to support the digital banking platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Mobile, QA, and Platform teams to deliver impactful features
• Identify and correct bottleneck and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems are current and robust.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a software engineer with a focus on Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, microservices, and MySQL
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and implementation.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of security principles and how they apply to banking systems. Experience with Mambu is a plus.
