Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on backend software development experience, delivering production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Java and OOP principles; Spring Boot for microservices and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and relational/non-relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and maintenance of distributed microservices powering core banking systems.
• Drive architectural decisions and data modeling across PostgreSQL and other databases.
• Develop and consume internal/external APIs with versioning and backward compatibility.
• Containerise applications with Docker and manage orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; promote engineering best practices and code quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD quality gates, testing, and security hardening for production services.
• Collaborate with product owners, frontend engineers, QA, and other teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Leverage AI coding tools responsibly to enhance development and review processes.
