The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using VB.NET or C#, ASP.NET, and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
• Familiarity with VB.NET or C#, ASP.NET, and SQL databases.
• Experience with source control systems (TFVC or equivalent).
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with Technical Manager to estimate timelines and deliverables.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Perform unit testing, defect tracking, and QA activities.
• Deploy applications and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and development specs.
• Ensure compliance with development standards and project requirements.
• Provide application support and assist with deployments.

What You'll Be Doing

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications based on business requirements.

Collaborate with the Technical Manager to estimate project timelines and deliverables.

Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications and systems.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices.

Perform unit testing, defect tracking, and quality assurance activities.

Deploy applications and contribute to continuous improvement based on user feedback.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and development specifications.

Ensure compliance with development standards, project requirements, and best practices.

Provide application support, troubleshoot production issues, and assist with deployments when required.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years of software development experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering quality solutions.

Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.

Good communication skills in English.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Passion for software development and continuous learning.

Comfortable using modern tools and technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity, software quality, and learning, whilst maintaining strong independent analytical, coding, and problem-solving capabilities.

Technical Skills Required

VB.NET or C#

SQL, Database Design, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Experience with Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) or other source control systems.

Experience developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET, or C#.

Experience with relational databases such as Informix, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), MySQL, or equivalent.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience with ASP.NET MVC and jQuery

Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools

Experience working with enterprise business applications, ERP systems, or mission-critical business software.
