Job summary

DynaFront Systems Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Java software engineer to develop and maintain enterprise applications in an enterprise environment. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies and interact with overseas clients to gain international exposure.

Responsibilities include building efficient Java code, integrating REST/SOAP services, and managing DB2 and PostgreSQL databases, focusing on reliability and performance within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Job description

You will be part of a productive team responsible for the development and maintenance of one or more of our current software products. You will work within an enterprise environment with state-of-art technologies. The opportunity to work with overseas clients, and will develop your international client exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• System Development & Maintenance: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code for core enterprise systems.
• API Integration: Develop and support both RESTful and SOAP web services for seamless system integrations.
• Database Management: Write and optimize complex queries, interacting with both legacy databases (DB2) and modern relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Production Support: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently to ensure system stability.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in team discussions, learn the intricacies of our business logic, and propose solutions to improve system performance.

Technical Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools, specifically Hibernate.
• Familiarity with maintaining and updating applications built on Struts.
• Experience in building and consuming web services (REST and SOAP).
• Solid database knowledge, specifically working with DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in using Maven for project build and dependency management.
• Exceptional Problem Solver: You don't just patch bugs; you find the root cause and understand the broader system impact.
• Eager Learner: You have a growth mindset. You aren't afraid to get your hands dirty with older frameworks like Struts 1 while continuing to level up your modern engineering skills.

• Previous experience working on highly regulated enterprise applications (e.g., insurance, Takaful, or banking systems).
