Job summary

Software International Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced software professional to lead enterprise application development and maintenance. You will drive design, development and changes to existing systems while performing full SDLC activities.

The role requires at least 8 years in software development with strong Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSF/Struts and database design. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are offered along with a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software application development experience.
• Proficient in Spring frameworks, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSF and Struts.
• Strong in RDBMS analysis and design (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL).
• Agile knowledge (Scrum/Kanban) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in custom enterprise application development and maintenance for large corporations globally.
• Participate in the software development life-cycle.
• Lead the development, design, and implementation of applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages.
• Perform system analysis, design, testing, system integration and documentation when necessary.
• Provide recommendations and assist in preparing project plans, estimates, task tracking, reporting and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with middle management and internal/external stakeholders.
• Guide, mentor and train the team to deliver and support career growth.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by Management.

Job description

Participate in custom enterprise application development and maintenance for large corporations both within Asia and worldwide.

Participate in the software development life-cycle.

Lead the development, design, and implementation of applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages.

Perform system analysis, design, testing, system integration and documentation whenever necessary.

Provide recommendations and to assist in the preparation of project plans, time and resource estimates, task tracking, reporting & completion to deadline of assigned tasks or team, and priorities.

Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team, internal & external stakeholders.

Guide, mentor & train the team to deliver and carve the career growth plans for your team.

Any other tasks assigned by the Management as and when required.

Candidate must possess a relevant qualification in Software Engineering.

A minimum of 8 years working experience in software application development relevant to the following skill sets:

• Experienced in Spring frameworks, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSF, Struts,
• RDBMS analysis and design (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL etc.)

Not required but good to have:

• Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban or similar)
• Insurance knowledge

Education Requirements

Possess at least SPM/Foundation/Diploma or equivalent in any disciplines.
