(FAP) in Penang is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain internal applications, automation, and BI reporting solutions that support HR, Finance, Operations and other functions. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in systems engineering or software development, with hands-on work in manufacturing systems integration and cloud APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, software development, enterprise applications, or digital transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing systems integration, such as ERP, MES, QMS, or PLM.
• Experience integrating cloud technologies, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of Python or other scripting/programming languages.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain internal applications and tools
• Automate repetitive business processes to improve efficiency
• Build and maintain scripts, workflows, and integrations between systems
• Ensure applications are secure, maintainable, and well-documented
• Extract, consolidate, and analyze data from ERP, HRIS, Finance, and other systems
• Develop dashboards, KPI reports, and visualizations for management
• Provide insights to support decision-making and operational improvements
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of reports
• Assist in minor ERP or system configuration changes (within scope)
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements
• Create and maintain system documentation and SOPs
• Work with business users to gather requirements and propose technical solutions
• Follow IT policies, change management procedures, and security guidelines
• Support audit or compliance activities related to applications, BI, and reporting

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & Automation
