Job summary

Victual Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Social Media Specialist to lead our brand across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee with engaging content and data-driven campaigns. You’ll craft creative posts, manage live sessions, and grow the online community using AI tools to accelerate results.

You’ll drive campaigns end-to-end, monitor metrics, and collaborate with a small team from Bandar Bukit Puchong in a fast-paced food retail/e commerce setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on experience in social media, content creation, or live hosting.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus.
• Sales-driven mindset with ability to convert engagement into action.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with marketing goals and brand identity.
• Create visually appealing, on-brand content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee, including live streaming and on-the-ground activities.
• Stay ahead of trends and competitor activity to spot opportunities for improvement.
• Identify ways to influence audience perception and speak publicly about our social strategy.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule across platforms and engage with followers promptly.
• Monitor channels 24/7 to maintain a positive online presence.
• Develop and launch social media campaigns and manage budgets, tracking ROI.
• Analyze performance, provide insights, and report on KPIs.
• Lead TikTok and Shopee live sessions and convert viewers into customers.

Social Media Specialist / Content Creator

We are looking for a creative, sales-driven Social Media Specialist to lead our brand's presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee. You will craft engaging content, run data-driven campaigns, manage live commerce initiatives, and grow our online community, all while leveraging modern AI tools to amplify our impact.

This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who is extroverted and likes to enjoy fast-paced world of social commerce, with the goal of converting followers into customers.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with our marketing goals and brand identity.

Create visually appealing, on-brand content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Shopee. This includes social media posting, live-streaming, on-the-ground sales, filming, graphic design, live interview.

Stay ahead of trends and competitor activity to spot innovation and improvement opportunities.

Identify ways to influence audience perception and speak publicly about our social strategy.

Maintain a consistent posting schedule across all platforms.

Actively engage with followers. Ability to respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly.

Monitor channels 24/7 to maintain a strong account rating and positive online presence.

Campaigns & Performance

Develop and launch social media campaigns that reach target audiences and hit marketing objectives.

Manage social media budgets efficiently and track ROI.

Analyze performance using industry tools and metrics; provide actionable insights and recommendations.

Track and report on KPIs to demonstrate campaign impact.

Lead TikTok and Shopee live sessions (including GMV Max optimization).

Convert viewers into customers through strategic, engaging live hosting.

Leverage AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Higgsfield) to accelerate content creation and strategy.

Stay updated on new tools and best practices.

Who You Are

Must-Have

2–3 years of hands-on experience in social media, content creation, or live hosting.

Sales-driven mindset: You know how to convert audience engagement into customer action.

Platform expertise: Proficient on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Shopee, and Shopee/TikTok live.

Campaign track record: Proven success developing and executing social media campaigns.

Self-driven: Disciplined, determined, strong willingness to learn, and proactive with a sense of urgency.

Multitasker: Resourceful, meticulous, strong problem-solver, reliable.

Communication: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken); Mandarin a plus.

Own transportation: Required for Bandar Bukit Puchong location.

Tech-savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiar with SEO/AEO.

Soft skills: Creativity, open-mindedness, team player, positive attitude, worldwide perspective.

Analytical acumen: Someone who can identifies pain-point and strength, and a problem solver.

Initiative: Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment with like-minded professionals. Ability to guide and run a social media team in the future.
