Job summary

EC-Council Global Services in Kuala Lumpur seeks a SOC Manager to lead the Security Operations Center, manage incident response, and coordinate risk assessments across IT and cybersecurity domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity operations, incident management and project management is an advantage.
• Hands-on incident response, investigation and forensic coordination.
• Managing security projects and working with vendors.
• SIEM, WAF, firewall, proxy and endpoint/antivirus management.
• Vulnerability management, patch management, system hardening and penetration testing oversight.
• Cloud security posture assessment.
• Identity and access management, including user account recertification.
• Threat monitoring and threat intelligence.
• Bank Negara Malaysia RMiT compliance.
• Security risk assessment, risk matrix maintenance and audit finding tracking.
• Frameworks ISO 27001, NIST CSF and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Stakeholder communication with business units, clients and vendors.
• Decision-making under pressure during incidents.
• CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, GCIH, GCIA or similar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SOC operation and BAU activities; manage Incident Mgmt team.
• Perform security risk assessments on projects with data transfers.
• Proactively assess threats and perform vulnerability scans.
• Lead incident response and recovery processes.
• Manage information security projects with risk/compliance teams (RMiT).
• Assess cyber threat exposures and advise safeguards.
• Coordinate with vendors on critical infrastructures.
• Ensure audit findings tracked and remediated.
• Conduct regular cloud security posture assessments.
• Provide IT Security Awareness training.
• Other related duties as assigned.
