Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Branch SME Banking Manager (CBM) to drive growth of the SME segment. You will work with branch managers and area managers to expand SME penetration, manage relationships, and ensure sales compliance.

You will grow ETB and NTB SME clients, leverage HQ leads, and promote products across merchant services, deposits, secured and unsecured loans, BANCA, and investments.

Responsibilities

• Grow the SME base of retail community businesses to expand product holdings and profitability.
• Bring in NTB customers via branch visits, roadshows, and other branch-based sales activities.
• Leads provided by HQ to support acquisition of NTB SME customers.
• Acquire NTB customers or profitability growth of ETB through a mix of products (merchant services, deposits, secured/unsecured loans, BANCA, investments).
• Grow ETB CASA balances and support customers to use Hong Leong Connect or ConnectBiz for online payments and payroll.
• Understand SME lending requirements to evaluate and submit loan applications.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers and Area Manager to deepen SME penetration and profitability.
• Comply with statutory requirements and sales compliance (FSA, KYC, AMLA) and internal policies.
• Serve as SME content expert for the branch and liaise between HQ and sales teams.
• Partner with the branch manager to build SME competency across the branch.
• Demonstrate teamwork across projects and Group Management Programmes.
