Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with at least 1 year of supervision experience. Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools is expected, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Job description

The Site Supervisor ensures the efficient execution of construction projects by overseeing on-site operations, maintaining quality standards, and enforcing safety regulations. By coordinating with contractors, workers, and project stakeholders, the Site Supervisor ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

1. Site Management & Execution

Supervise and coordinate on-site activities to ensure smooth workflow.

Monitor work progress to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for efficient site operations.

Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is completed according to standards.

Identify and resolve any site issues related to quality or technical execution.

Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and company policies.

3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance

Enforce workplace safety rules and ensure all workers follow proper procedures.

Conduct routine safety inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

Promote a safety-first culture among workers and subcontractors.

4. Resource & Inventory Management

Manage site materials, equipment, and workforce to prevent delays.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and utilization of materials.

Control wastage and optimize resource allocation.

5. Communication & Reporting

Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports.

Communicate project updates and challenges to the Project Manager.

Address issues promptly to prevent project delays.

Perform any job duty as and when required by the immediate superior/ HOD.

Any other job functions as assigned by the Management from time to time.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Minimum 1 year of experience in site supervision, construction, or a related field

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications

Familiarity with construction safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, CIDB, or local safety guidelines)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management software

CIDB Green Card, First Aid, or other relevant safety certifications

Fluent in local dialect, English, and Malay

Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage construction teams
