Job summary

IDCandy Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Supervisor to monitor and manage on-site activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and schedules. The candidate should be organized, attentive to detail, and capable of effective communication with contractors and suppliers.

The role requires independent on-site work, readiness to travel between project sites, and collaboration with the internal project/design team.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School certificate (SPM or equivalent).
• Diploma/Degree in Construction, Building, Architecture, Interior Design, PM, or related field is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply; 1–3 years experience is favored.

Job Description:
IDCandy Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible and dedicated Site Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate should be organized, attentive to detail, and capable of monitoring site works to ensure projects are completed according to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

This role requires an individual who is able to work independently on-site, communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, delivery teams, and the internal project/design team, and respond promptly to site-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities and overall project progress.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, design requirements, and company quality standards.
• Check site measurements and verify dimensions before construction, fabrication, or installation works proceed.
• Monitor workmanship and identify any defects, incomplete works, or areas requiring rectification.
• Ensure site works are progressing according to the approved project schedule.
• Coordinate and follow up with contractors and subcontractors regarding site progress, outstanding works, and rectification works.
• Liaise with suppliers and delivery teams regarding material delivery schedules, delivery arrangements, unloading, and site access.
• Check materials delivered to site to ensure the correct quantity, specification, finishing, and condition.
• Monitor material storage and ensure completed works and delivered materials are properly protected.
• Read and understand construction drawings, interior design drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Identify drawing discrepancies, site conditions, or construction issues and report them promptly to the Project Executive / Project Manager.
• Coordinate with the Design Team regarding drawings, dimensions, materials, finishes, and site requirements.
• Provide regular site progress updates, including photos, outstanding items, and site issues.
• Prepare daily or weekly site reports when required.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and site conditions.
• Monitor additional or variation works and report them to the Project Executive / Project Manager before proceeding where required.
• Maintain proper site cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure basic site safety requirements and procedures are followed.
• Follow up closely on defects and rectification works before project handover.
• Assist with final inspections, testing, commissioning, defect checking, and project handover.
• Maintain good communication with clients when required and respond promptly to urgent site matters.
• Carry out other site-related duties assigned by the Project Executive, Project Manager, or Management.

Requirements

• Minimum High School / Secondary School Certificate (SPM or equivalent).
• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Construction, Building, Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of renovation, interior fit-out, or construction works is preferred.
• Able to read and understand construction and interior design drawings.
• Basic knowledge of Bills of Quantities (BQ) is preferred.
• Able to check site measurements and construction details accurately.
• Responsible, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, delivery teams, designers, project executives, and clients.
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for site monitoring.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple site matters at the same time.
• Flexible and willing to travel between project sites when required.
• Must be available to respond promptly to urgent site matters when necessary.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, WhatsApp, and site reporting is preferred.
• Fresh graduates and candidates without tertiary qualifications are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with 1–3 years of site supervision, renovation, construction, or interior fit-out experience will have an added advantage.
