Job summary

LYCH SDN BHD is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities at project sites in Sabah. You will supervise workers, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specs, quality standards and schedule.

You will monitor progress, conduct site inspections, enforce safety rules, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain records. The role requires leadership, communication and problem-solving, with a CIDB Green Card and civil engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in site supervision in civil/structural construction.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, or related field preferred.
• Valid CIDB Green Card / Construction Personnel Registration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with site safety, health and environmental requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of construction management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.

• Monitor daily site progress and provide updates to the Project Manager / Management.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify defects, safety issues or construction problems.
• Ensure all workers comply with site safety rules, regulations and company requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor the delivery, usage and availability of materials, tools and equipment.
• Check the quality of workmanship and rectify as needed.
• Assist in planning manpower, work schedules and site activities.
• Resolve site issues and escalate major ones to the Project Manager / Management.
• Maintain proper site records, including daily reports, attendance, progress updates, material records and site documentation.
• Ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule and to required quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job description

Monitor daily site progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager / Management.

Conduct regular site inspections and identify any defects, safety issues or construction problems.

Ensure all workers comply with site safety rules, regulations and company requirements.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.

Monitor the delivery, usage and availability of construction materials, tools and equipment.

Check the quality of workmanship and ensure rectification works are completed when required.

Assist in planning and coordinating manpower, work schedules and site activities.

Resolve site issues where possible and escape major issues to the Project Manager / Management.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in civil and structural construction.

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, or a related field is preferred.

Valid CIDB Green Card / Construction Personnel Registration.

Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and site practices.

Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

Good communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Familiar with site safety, health, and environmental requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of construction management software is an added advantage.

Able to work independently and manage workers, subcontractors, and site activities.

Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.

Responsible, hardworking, and able to work under pressure.

Working Days

Monday to Friday , 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Location

Primarily at project sites; office work at Donggongon Avenue as required.
