We are looking for a responsible and proactive Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with a valid DOSH/JKKP Yellow Book to join our project team and be based full-time on site at Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang or Bagan Datuk, Perak for our warehouse project. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day safety supervision, monitoring, and enforcement on site, ensuring construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with applicable occupational safety and health requirements, project procedures, and company standards.
Key responsibilities
Monitor and supervise daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements and approved safe work procedures.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
Ensure workers, contractors, and sub-contractors comply with site safety rules and procedures.
Monitor and enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Conduct site safety inductions and toolbox meetings for workers and site personnel.
Assist in implementing HIRARC / risk assessments and ensure identified control measures are properly implemented.
Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, excavation, scaffolding, electrical works, hot works, machinery operations, and temporary works.
Monitor housekeeping, access routes, barricades, signage, lighting, and general site conditions.
Assist in implementing and monitoring the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system where applicable.
Inspect scaffolding, ladders, working platforms, lifting equipment, machinery, and other safety-related facilities and equipment.
About you
Valid DOSH/JKKP Yellow Book – Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) registration is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction site safety supervision.
Experience in warehouse, industrial, factory, commercial, or large-scale building projects is highly preferred.
Recognised qualification/training as a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with valid DOSH/JKKP registration.
Good knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements and construction site safety practices.
Familiar with HIRARC, risk assessment, toolbox meetings, safety inspections, PPE requirements, and safe work procedures.
Experience monitoring high-risk construction activities such as work at height, lifting operations, excavation, scaffolding, hot works, and machinery operations.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with workers, contractors, sub-contractors, and site management.
Firm, proactive, responsible, and able to enforce safety requirements on site.
