Job summary

H.K.L. Metal Works Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our Gelang Patah, Johor team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on ensuring safety, health, and environmental compliance across our construction operations.

You will lead safety training, conduct inspections, and maintain records while coordinating with project management and regulatory bodies to uphold high safety standards. Immediate or near-term start is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in site safety supervision in construction.
• Valid Yellow Book (JKKP/DOSH) required.
• Strong knowledge of construction site operations and hazards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide induction and safety training to site personnel and sub-contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate with management, contractors and authorities on safety matters.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure equipment is maintained and compliant.
• Arrange safety training programs within the workplace.
• Manage emergency response procedures and drills.

H.K.L. Metal Works Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Gelang Patah, Johor. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, health and environmental compliance of our construction operations. As Site Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards across all project activities, protecting our workforce and upholding our commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This role is essential to the success of our projects and demonstrates our dedication to creating a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide induction and safety training to all site personnel, sub-contractors and workers prior to work commencement, ensuring they understand site-specific hazards and safety requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, assess risks and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near-miss events, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Maintain detailed safety records, incident reports, inspection logs and compliance documentation as required by regulatory authorities
• Liaise with project management, contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure continuous communication regarding safety matters and compliance requirements
• Monitor the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all safety equipment is fit for purpose and regularly inspected
• Arrange training programs on safety measures within the workplace.
• Manage emergency response procedures and ensure all personnel are prepared for potential incidents

What we're looking for

• Minimum Diploma/ Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health qualification
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Site Safety Supervisor or similar health and safety role within the construction industry
• Must possess validYellow Book (registered with JKKP/DOSH).
• Strong understanding of construction site operations, equipment and associated hazards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsl levels
• Required skill(s): MS Office
• Possess own transport
• Preferable who are able to start work immediately or within short period of time.
