Job summary

Plus Xnergy is seeking a competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to oversee HSE activities at project sites in Johor. You will implement safety programs, conduct inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance with DOSH and NIOSH standards.

The ideal candidate has a yellow book, 3+ years of HSE experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating trainings and accident prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Competent SSS by NIOSH required.
• At least 3 years HSE experience at project sites.
• Registered with DOSH and holds Yellow Book.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support in occupational safety and health; provide technical consultancy and ensure legal compliance.
• Coordinate and execute health and safety risk prevention programs and data follow-up.
• Participate in evaluating actions and training needs to improve safety.
• Support accident prevention investigations and follow-up recommendations.
• Assist investigation committees for accidents and near-misses.
• Perform safety inspections of procedures, equipment, and tools.
• Evaluate safety equipment and propose amendments to maximize safety.
• Elaborate and support accident reports and preventive actions.
• Provide safety trainings and issue safety instructions.
• Plan and realize health and safety inspections and ensure proper instruction execution.
• Support Emergency Response Plan implementation and periodic review.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Support in the occupational safety and health; give technical consultancy and ensure legal compliance about prevention and awareness of occupational health and safety and accidents in all project areas.
• Coordinate and execute the elaboration of the programs related to prevention of health and safety risk and risk management, making follow-up of data for the elaboration of their implementation in the operational areas.
• Participate in the evaluation of actions and work methods executed in the area, according to the risk of each function with the aim to give trainings, proposing the necessary modifications to provide better comfort and safety.
• Support the work programs of the internal investigation of accident prevention and making follow-up of recommendation
• Support the investigation committees for accidents and nearly accidents where the causes will be determined and the possibilities to eliminate/neutralize these causes.
• Realize safety inspections in the project procedure, equipment’s, and work tools to achieve maximum safety and comfort in the realization of the work.
• Follow up and participate in the evaluation and testing of safety relevant equipment’s, analysing and proposing necessary amendments to maximize safety and comfort.
• Elaborate, evaluate, and support the areas in the elaboration of reports relative to accidents, researching data that will be helpful in the investigation and analysis of the accident to determine the causes, responsibilities and propose preventive and corrective actions.
• Provide technical support regarding occupational safety and the legal procedures as well as provide trainings and elaborate safety instructions.
• Plan, coordinate, program and realize health and safety unsafe acts, safety observation, inspections following the teams in the execution of their tasks, verifying the adequate execution of the instructions in regard to occupational health, safety, and hygiene.
• Support in the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan and review the plan periodically.

Academic Qualification:

Candidate must be a competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) by NIOSH.

Experiences:

• Based at project site.
• Experienced in HSE for above 3 years from the date of registration as yellow book holder.
• Registered with DOSH with a yellow book holder (Valid)
• Able to work under minimal supervision.
• Having knowledge in Microsoft office.
