Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will implement and monitor HSE policies on construction sites, conduct inspections, and lead safety trainings to ensure compliance with local regulations.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in OSH or related field and at least 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in semiconductor/high-tech projects. Strong knowledge of OSHA/ISO 45001 and Yellow Book Certification are valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in OSH, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years HSE experience, preferably in semiconductor/high-tech construction.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and international standards (OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Yellow Book Certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site-specific HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and safety walkabouts to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety protocols at all times.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare incident reports and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to maintain a safe work environment.
• Oversee high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined spaces, electrical works, and chemical handling.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, permits-to-work, and compliance records.
• Support emergency response planning and drills.
