Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor for our Kapar, Klang project site to ensure safe working practices and compliance across all staff and contractors.

The role will involve leading safety inspections, conducting inductions, and promoting health and environmental standards on site. A Diploma/Degree with 3–5 years on construction sites is expected, with JKKP Yellow Book registration being compulsory.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.
• Diploma/degree or professional certificate or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of construction site safety experience.
• Registered with JKKP Yellow Book is compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices are observed and complied by all staff/workers at the site
• Carry out and prepare the daily site Safety Inspection Checklist
• Carry out safety programs (Safety induction/toolbox meeting) for new workers/subcontractors
• Monitor daily safety of workers at site
• Inspect site machinery and equipment for compliance with safety requirements
• Assist in incidents/accident investigation and reporting
• Ensure safety signage, first aid kit, firefighting equipment and safety materials are available
• Ensure all site accessories are safe and housekeeping carried out
• Assist and report to the Project Manager/SHO on safety, health and environmental matters
• Be a team player and proactive in promoting safety, health and environmental matters

Site Safety Supervisor required for our Site Project Location at Kapar, Klang. The role involves ensuring safe working practices are observed and complied with by all staff and workers at the site, and managing safety programs and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safe working practices are observed and complied by all staff/workers at the site
• Carry out and prepare the daily site Safety Inspection Checklist
• Carry out safety programs (Safety induction/toolbox meeting, etc) to new workers/subcontractors workers from time to time
• Monitor the daily safety general workers activities at site
• Inspect the worksite machineries and equipment which are being utilized at the site in order to ensure compliance to the project site safety requirements
• Assist in incidents/accident investigation and reporting
• Ensure safety signage, first aid kit, firefighting equipment and adequate supply of safety materials are available at the worksite
• Ensure all site accessories are safe and housekeeping carried out at site
• Assist and report to the Project Manager/SHO on issues pertaining to the site safety, health and environmental matters
• To be a team player and proactive in promoting safety, health and environmental matters at the workplace

About you

• Registered with JKKP Yellow Book holder is compulsory/Non YB
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree/Professional Certificate, or equivalent
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in construction field
• Independent with persuasive interpersonal skills and results-driven
• Exhibit strong negotiation and problem solving skills
• Target oriented and ability to work under pressure to meet targets
