Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Officer to monitor daily activities and ensure compliance with client safety rules, at projects in Johor.

You will conduct safety inspections, ensure PPE usage, implement PTW, and lead toolbox talks. Strong communication and independence are key.

This role requires proactive safety-minded professionals ready to work on client sites and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid DOSH / JKKP Yellow Book (SSS).
• Relevant site safety experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety requirements and practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and safety-conscious.
• Able to work independently at client/project sites.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements and client safety rules
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards
• Ensure workers use the correct PPE and follow safe work procedures
• Implement Permit-to-Work (PTW) based on job requirements
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings, and communicate hazards and control measures to workers
• Assist supervisors and workers in preparing and implementing JSA/JHA, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Safe Work Procedures
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
