Job summary

Pro Primedge Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Safety Officer to monitor and enforce safety procedures across factory and site operations. The role focuses on ensuring workers follow PPE rules, conducting hazard inspections, and maintaining safety records.

You will develop Job Safety Analysis (JSA), deliver safety inductions, investigate incidents, liaise with authorities, and oversee emergency drills to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all workers follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks and hazards.
• Enforce company safety policies and site-specific safety rules.
• Assist in developing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments.
• Provide safety induction for new workers or subcontractors.
• Investigate and report all incidents, near misses, or accidents.
• Take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain safety reports, checklists, permits (like PTW), and inspection records.
• Liaise with Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and external authorities (e.g., CIDB, DOSH).
• Ensure all works comply with local safety regulations.
• Ensure first aid kits and fire extinguishers are in place.
• Plan and conduct emergency drills.
• Ensure all subcontractors comply with safety standards.
• Review and verify their safety documents.
• Submit weekly safety updates and reports to management.
• Monitor overall site cleanliness to prevent slips, trips, and falls.
• Implementing, monitoring and supervising safety precautions and procedures for both factory and sites.
