Job summary

MAJU JAYA PASARANA SDN BHD is hiring a competent Safety & Health Officer to oversee an infrastructure and road construction project in Johor. The SHO will ensure compliance with Malaysian OSH laws and project safety standards on-site.

You will lead safety programs, conduct audits, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with authorities to maintain a safe working environment for all workers and visitors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Malaysian OSH laws and project safety standards.
• Ability to conduct hazard identifications and risk assessments (HIRARC).
• Experience with safety reporting, incident investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure safety compliance.
• Conduct site safety audits and hazard identification.
• Oversee Traffic Management Plans and worker/public safety around live traffic zones.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and emergency drills.
• Inspect PPE compliance and safety protocols for workers and visitors.
• Prepare safety reports and liaise with DOSH/JKKP and authorities.
• Maintain SHMS documentation and coordinate improvements.
• Base full-time at project site in Johor.
