Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Health and Safety Officer based in Johor to provide guidance on safety and hygiene practices at our construction site. You will develop and implement project safety policies, liaise with safety authorities, and submit monthly reports to the Project Manager on workplace health and safety.

The role includes conducting safety inductions for all workers, identifying high-risk areas, and taking measures to mitigate hazards.

Qualifications

Bachelors/Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment or related field.
Minimum 5 years as a Safety & Health Officer at construction site.
Competent Safety & Health Officer registered with DOSH.
Data Center construction experience is a Plus.
Strong analytical and communications skill

Responsibilities

Develop and implement project safety and health policies.
Liaise with relevant safety enforcement authorities.
Submit a monthly report to Project Manager on occupational health and safety at workplace.
Conduct safety inductions for all workers on site and promote safety awareness.
Identify high-risk areas and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Oversee construction sequence and mitigate risk.
Assist investigations of incidents and report findings to management.
Support any officer in duties under the Act or Regulations.
