Job summary

Tokai Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Specialist to develop and implement safety policies in line with the OSH framework. You will monitor compliance, implement the Safety Management System at both site and HQ, and proactively identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls.

Responsibilities include ensuring subcontractor adherence to SMS, reviewing HIRARC/JHA, maintaining the Emergency Response Plan, conducting site inspections, and compiling monthly safety reports for DOSH

Qualifications

Develop and implement safety policies compliant with OSH FMA and regulations.
Monitor legal and compliance requirements and update as needed.
Ensure Safety Management System is implemented at site and HQ.
Identify hazards and assess risks; implement control measures.
Ensure subcontractors comply with Safety Management System.

Responsibilities

Assist the Company in developing safety policies in compliance with OSH FMA and its regulations
Review and monitor latest legal and other compliance requirements and update accordingly
Implement the requirements of the Safety Management System at site and headquarters
Take pro-active measures to identify hazards, assess risks and implement suitable control measures
Ensure subcontractors comply with Safety Management System requirements
Review all HIRARC and Job Hazard Analysis before execution
Maintain Emergency Response Plan information and ensure relevant communication is distributed
Conduct site safety inspections and recommend corrective actions for unsafe acts and conditions
Submit Monthly Safety Reports, Safety Statistics, and other required documentation to DOSH and HQ
Liaise with DOSH, Police and other relevant government agencies on health, safety and security matters
