Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 1–2 years of experience to inspect and measure works on site, monitor materials, and manage progress claims. The role requires coordination with clients and consultants, travel to project sites, and strong analytical skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, good English and Bahasa Melayu, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
• CIDB green card holder will be an added benefit.
• At least 1–2 years working experience in Quantity Surveying or related role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, reliable, minimal supervision.
• Understanding site safety plan and safety activities flow.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu, and computer literate.
• Experience validating quantities from layout/site drawings with AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with negotiation abilities.
• Willing to travel outstation to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and manually measure work done at site for accurate progress evaluations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor material usage and ensure alignment with project timeline and standards.
• Analyze workforce productivity against project schedules.
• Ensure all project records are up to date.
• Prepare and check progress claims with clients.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants and relevant parties on project matters.
• Prepare outstanding progress and final claims based on site progress and quantity.
• Finalization of accounts with subcontractors and clients.
• Assist and perform tasks assigned by superior.
