Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and site coordination to ensure scope compliance and timely completion. The role includes measuring quantities, certifying claims, and preparing interim payments.

The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of experience in construction, preferably with site-based QS exposure and familiarity with JKR projects. Attention to detail is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveyor.
• 3-6 years experience as Quantity Surveyor in Construction Industry.
• Preferable someone with site-based QS experience.
• Experienced in handling JKR Projects.
• Attention to detail, able to work in fast pace working environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and obtain supplier and subcontractors quotations.
• Involve in procurement and negotiation of contract with subcontractors.
• Coordinate with site team and subcontractors to ensure works are completed as per scope.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractors claims and site instructions.
• Conduct site measurements for progress claims, subcontractor claims, and variation orders.
• Verify site quantities and monitor material usage.
• Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.
• Prepare cash flow and monitor cost control.
• Attend site meetings.
• Managing VO and other contractual matters.
