Job summary

UEM Edgenta Bhd seeks a seasoned Civil Engineer to supervise road and bridge construction sites in Malaysia. The role ensures workmanship, materials, and drawings are correctly applied on-site, with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will inspect works, witness testing, prepare punch lists, and coordinate with RE and WPC teams to ensure compliance before coverage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of site supervision experience on road/bridge projects.
• Certified Inspector of Works (Board of Engineers Malaysia).

Responsibilities

• Ensure approved materials and correct workmanship are used by WPC.
• Inspect works per Construction Drawings for dimensions, levels, locations.
• Witness testing of materials and works as requested by WPC.
• Review site instructions to ensure they are followed.
• Prepare a written punch list for RE concurrence before work is covered.
• Rectify or agree on issues before works are covered.
• Inform WPC and ARE if Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements are breached.
