Job summary

Uemedgenta is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead site supervision at the Site Office in Telupid, Sabah. You will provide technical direction to Clerk of Works and coordinate with site teams to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and quality standards.

You will support the Resident Engineer in monitoring progress, evaluating method statements, and maintaining QAQC and HSSE documentation, including incident and progress reports, while ensuring proper review of interim claims from

Qualifications

• 12 years (s) of proven working experience in construction site supervision, ideally in road and bridge projects.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and managerial guidance to the Clerk of Works (COWs).
• Coordinating with site personnel to ensure construction aligns with drawings and specs, meeting quality standards.
• Assisting the Resident Engineer in monitoring progress, identifying delays, and recommending mitigations.
• Reviewing QA plans and HSSE manuals prepared by the Work Package Contractor (WPC).
• Collaborating with the RE to evaluate method statements, materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans.
• Responding to technical inquiries from the WPC and coordinating with design engineers for required design changes.
• Assisting the RE in reviewing and maintaining Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC, HSSE, and Incident Reports.
• Verifying WPC's work for interim claims.

• Reviewing and ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance Plans and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Manuals prepared by the Work Package Contractor (WPC).
• Collaborating with the RE to evaluate method statements, proposed materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans submitted by the WPC for site operations.
• Responding to technical inquiries from the WPC and coordinating with design engineers for any required design changes.
• Assisting the RE in reviewing and maintaining various project reports, including Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) Reports, HSSE Reports, Routine Maintenance Reports, Traffic Management Safety Reports, and Incident Reports.
• Verifying the work completed by the WPC for their interim claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years (s) of proven working experience in construction site supervision, ideally in road and bridge projects.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.
