Aurecon Perunding Sdn Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a seasoned site supervisor/QC Inspector to oversee earthworks and infrastructure projects. You will manage on-site supervision, coordinate with contractors and authorities, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Formación

• Possess at least a Diploma in Civil/ Structural Engineering or Technology.
• Minimum 15 years of site supervision experience on earthworks and infrastructure.
• Proficient in Excel/Word and report writing.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Resident Engineer with daily on-site supervision to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.
• Lead coordinating site meetings and liaise with contractors, sub-contractors and authorities.
• Read drawings and specifications, ensuring works comply with contract requirements.
• Carry out QC inspection duties and document defects with clear lists.
• Ensure materials delivered match approved specifications and maintain document control.

To assist the RE with daily supervising the delivery of the project on site to ensure that it is completed safely, on schedule and of the highest quality.

To work as a team for the supervision works.

Ensure the Contractors’ Safe Work Method Statement /Work Permits are in place before work commences on site.

Attend Contractors’ weekly “Toolbox Talk” safety meetings as an observer.

Directs the daily progress of the work.

Attend Request for Inspections (RFI) as required from RE.

Ensure all documentation related to the works is in place, updated regularly and in systematic order.

Attend meetings including but not limited to site meetings, technical meetings, sub-contractor meetings and coordinating all site issues and highlight construction status to superior.

Liaise with the project team members, including contractors, sub-contractors etc. and authorities on all site matters and interfacing works.

Read and interpret drawing plans and specifications.

Be thoroughly familiar with the project requirements – drawings, specifications, procedures.

Carry out the role of QC Inspector where required.

Ensure works are carried out in compliance with construction drawings and specifications.

Supervise site operation works, ensuring timely completion without compromising the quality of delivery, regulations and standards.

Check and ensure that the quality of works are carried out in accordance with the regulations, specifications and standards of local authority/contract.

To ensure that all materials delivered to site are as per approved Specifications.

Carry out inspection for defects and provide defect list upon completion of the works.

Requirements:

Possess at least a Diploma in Civil/ Structural Engineering or Technology.

At least 15 years of working experience in similar capacity for earthworks and infrastructure projects preferably from the consultancy industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Good multitasking, prioritising and organisation skills.

Competency in written and spoken English is required.
