Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Engineer to support the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance and quality control systems across assigned projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring construction works meet approved specifications, drawings, and industry standards, particularly for prestressing and post-tensioning works. The ideal candidate is hands-on in site inspection, strong in documentation, and able to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Site Inspection

• Assist the Project Manager in implementing and maintaining the company’s QA/QC system for assigned projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection requirements, and quality standards.
• Monitor and record quality-related activities for post-tensioning works, including installation, stressing, grouting, rectification works, material delivery, and site inspections.

Documentation & Technical Submissions

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on material submissions, technical documents, QA/QC records, and other project documentation until approval or closure.
• Prepare method statements, rectification method statements, and other technical submissions as required by project needs.
• Maintain proper documentation discipline for all QA/QC records and inspection reports.

Non-Conformance & Quality Control

• Identify, report, and follow up on non-conforming works and quality issues.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively and properly closed.
• Support continuous improvement by helping reduce repeated quality issues across projects.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate closely with project teams, site supervisors, main contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare regular QA/QC reports, inspection records, and tracking updates for management review.
• Support communication between site operations and project management to ensure alignment on quality requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in QA/QC, site supervision, project operations, or similar roles. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Able to read construction drawings, understand method statements, specifications, and basic inspection requirements.
• Possesses own transport and willing to travel within Malaysia (including East Malaysia).
• Strong attention to detail with good documentation and follow-up discipline.
• Good communication skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
