Job summary

Budiwan Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project / Site Engineer to oversee daily field operations on construction sites in Sabah. You will supervise earthworks, foundations, structural elements, and utilities, ensuring safety, schedule, and design compliance.

You will interpret drawings, manage RFIs on-site, perform QA/QC sampling, lead toolbox talks, and coordinate resources. The role requires 3+ years on-site civil experience and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of direct on-site civil construction experience.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings.
• Physical demands: ability to work extended hours outdoors on active sites.

Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Direct daily civil works, interpret structural plans/BOQs for contractors, and resolve RFIs on-site.
• QA/QC: Perform field material sampling and inspect incoming materials, issue corrective actions for non-conformance.
• Safety & HSE: Enforce safety protocols, lead toolbox talks, and maintain risk assessments across site operations.
• Resource Management: Coordinate equipment and material deliveries, track subcontractor productivity, verify payment claims against progress.
• Reporting: Maintain daily logs, field inspection checklists, material certificates, as-built drawings, and weekly progress reports.
