Job summary

SINOHYDRO CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD - Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to supervise and coordinate M&E works on site. The role includes reviewing drawings, monitoring progress, quality, and safety, and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.

The candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, be able to read construction drawings, and work on-site with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings (mandatory)
• Willing to work on-site (construction environment)
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work in a team
• Relevant working experience is an advantage
• Able to communicate in Mandarin (reading and writing required)
• At least 1 site management experience in construction projects is required
• Mandarin-speaking candidates will serve Mandarin-speaking customers

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate M&E works at site
• Review and interpret construction drawings to ensure works comply with design specifications
• Monitor project progress, quality, and safety requirements
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants
• Assist in resolving technical issues and site matters
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports and documentation
